Never in a million years did I expect to find authentic Mexican food in the middle of nowhere. I've driven through Franklin a lot of times and never stopped to eat. Today happened to be my last resort and decided to stop at subway. However as I was pulling up I saw this restaurant so I decided to stop. It is super friendly, clean, DELICIOUS and great service. If you are driving by this is the best restaurant in a small town I've seen in years. It's more delicious than all the Mexican restaurants in Austin Texas. P.S. I am native Mexican and I've always had a hard time finding something that tastes close to home. This meets most of the check marks. I truly recommend.
Yes courteous service received very quickly! Can get adult beverages. Hot sauce Red , Asked to try the green no spice flavor to it needs garlic more jalapeño something salt pepper! If they change recipe or different put Tabasco sauce on table
No margaritas, huh? That's weird. (Damn Bible Belt!) My Huevas Mexicanas were prepared well, as were my carnitas. (I had a side of carnitas -- really hungry that day.) My husband really enjoyed his migas. (That boy ALWAYS wants migas!) The patrons at a nearby table ordered tamales (and said tamales looked and smelled wonderful!), but we stuck to our guns and ordered what we did. I looked for mole Poblano (a personal favorite!) on the menu, but didn't see it. We'd return, but the chances of our being in Franklin again are slim to none.
After a great time at the Franklin Safari, we stopped here for lunch. It was a clean restaurant with a friendly waitress. Our food came out quickly and was above average for a Mexican restaurant. The salsa was great, the burrito was large and flavorful, and the carnitas had bold flavors with lots of cilantro and onions. We were very happy to have stopped here.
Quite possibly the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. Friendly service, clean place to eat. Wonderful place to visit if you find yourself in Franklin!
